Cleveland, OH (August 20, 2020) – A car accident reported early Wednesday morning resulted in fatal injuries in the Cleveland area. At approximately 1 a.m., on August 19, the Cleveland Police Department and firefighters responded to the scene of an auto accident on Lorain Avenue.
Reports provided by the police and local news sources indicate that a pickup truck and a gray sedan collided on Lorain Avenue near the intersection with West 130th Street for unknown reasons. The crash resulted in fatal injuries. Emergency crews arrived at the site of the crash and declared at least one person deceased. Three people were injured in this accident and transported to area hospitals for further treatment. Crews secured the area for several hours as the Accident Investigation Unit reconstructs the scene to investigate. Two people inside the involved pickup truck were not injured. At this time, the cause of the crash and its surrounding circumstances remain under investigation with the Cleveland Division of Police.
