Florence Twp., OH (October 29, 2020) – An auto accident reported in Florence Township on Tuesday afternoon left four people injured. On October 27, the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the site of a crash on Ohio Route 60.
Reports show that a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling south on Ohio 60 when it crashed into a northbound 2014 Nissan Xterra near milepost 5 in Florence Township.
After the crash, the Silverado continued off the east side of the road and rolled over several times before coming to rest. The Nissan came to rest in the middle of the north lanes of Ohio Route 60.
The driver of the Silverado, identified as 56-year-old James R. Buhl, sustained serious injuries in the crash. A passenger in the Nissan, identified as 28-year-old Michael A. Garcia, was also seriously injured. Both Buhl and Garcia were transported via Life Flight to Cleveland Metro Hospital for the treatment of injuries.
The driver of the Nissan, identified as 51-year-old Lana D. Born, was treated at the scene of the crash for minor injuries. A passenger in the Nissan, identified as 31-year-old Matthew A. Mair, was also provided treatment for minor injuries.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
